Italian Style, Italy

Thun made in Italy

I still don’t fully comprehend the obsession with the chubby, ashy-haired clay cherubs that Bolzano, Italy-based Thun has spun into a profitable global success. Maybe it’s the fact that it has a brand history that stems from a very wealthy and powerful family from Northern Italy, maybe it’s the fact that they are handmade and so no two pieces are the same or maybe it’s because markets like Canada and the US are tired of Precious Moments – seriously though, I love PMs- I’m like, totally a collector…

All I know is that this winning combination of tender angels and decorative pieces is a story worth telling, especially one that is positive towards the topic of Italian businesses. I sincerely hope that I get to profile Thun soon and that more stories like theirs continue to emerge from the Bel Paese.20140520-231034-83434117.jpg
