Fifty Shades of Luxottica

Luxottica held their press day this week to unveil the spring/summer 2013 eyewear collections they manufacture. We’re talking some of the hottest names in sunnies all under one roof… Ray-Ban, Persol, Prada, Miu Miu, Versace, Dolce&Gabbana, Tiffany & Co., Chanel, and the list goes on. Scene stealers included the Baroque-inspired shades above from Dolce&Gabbana, these … Continue reading

Singapore goes nuts for Lana Del Rey

Mulberry opened its first Asian boutique in Singapore and they brought their best-selling bag namesake Lana Del Rey along for the ride – this shot of Lana’s local fans kills me! These kids would drop a grand on the Del Rey bag fo’ sho. Speaking of the Del Rey, this new limited edition hot pink … Continue reading

the Etro lifestyle – spring 2013

snippets from my first (and possibly last) visit to the Etro showroom in Milan. loving the India-inspired duds (purple turbans!), paisley print surfboards and headphones that match suit jackets. incredible

{MICHAEL KORS SPRING 2013 PRESENTATION }

I had an up close and personal look at the new Michael Kors collection for next summer… These prototype robocop sunglasses were made for the runway show, but got such good feedback that they’ll be a part of the fall 2013 collection! The chunky gold watches by Fossil are also back, my fave is bottom … Continue reading

{Michelle Dockery in Burberry vs. vintage}

Lady Mary Michelle Dockery was the female front row guest of honour at Burberry Prorsum’s men’s show. Although I dig the whole owl T-shirt/high-waisted velvet skirt combo, I much prefer seeing Dockery in her Twenties drapery…she’s definitely got a look that better suits Victorian styles

{Rihanna brings back the cameo}

Two accessories I desperately esteem: the cameo and the Prada bag. But cameos are notoriously tricky to pull off, so yes kudos to Lanvin for slipping the old-school cameo into its Pre-Fall collection in the form of a chunky oversized charm…and  mainly kudos to Rihanna and her stylist for bringing the charm back in one … Continue reading

{Sienna & Marlowe}

Sienna Miller can officially do no wrong in my books, even baby Marlowe makes for a fantastic accessory as the actress steps out with a Starbucks cup and red handbag in tow.

{Boardwalk Empire 3×4: Blue Bell Boy}

The desecration of Nucky Thompson’s soul continues in Blue Bell Boy. We keep seeing these glints of humanity in the guy and continue to be shocked/disappointed when he goes bad again in the blink of an eye. In this episode, it was poor Owen that was the man no wiser to Nucky’s schitzo morality. Buscemi … Continue reading

{Dorothy’s Dress up for auction}

 Can you put a price on the most popular checkered blue and white dress of all time? Apparently yes. We’ll soon find out what the little gingham pinafore with white puffy sleeves that went from black and white to technicolour will go for when it hits the chopping block next month. Early estimates are already … Continue reading

{The Mindy Project: first impressions}

Up until recently – as in the Sept 25th airing of the pilot episode of  The Mindy Project –  I was not a fan of Mindy Kaling. I remember thinking who is this undeserving chick that adorable Paul Rudd is obsessing over in The 40 Year Old Virgin? And later I just wanted to smack … Continue reading
